'Tis the season for shopping for a new bat. Before you spend any money on a bat, you should be aware of the latest rules. Little League International has strict regulations on bats and umpires will be checking to verify all bats are legal before each game. A detailed description of the latest rules and penalties can be found on the Little League website. Here is a summary of the requirements:
• Bats shall be no longer than 33" nor more than 2 1/4" in diameter
• Non-wood bats must be labeled with a BPF (bat performance factor) of 1.15 or less
